Dealing With an Awesome Future

Presented by Dr. Bob Reck

Pudits talk about profound change in the world, yet usually aren't specifi about areas where it will impact our lives and how, moreover they project a depressing 'linear' future.  This upbeat talk addresses a future based on ‘extremely’ rapid, nonlinear change – places where science and technology are advancing at ‘an exponentially increasing exponential rate.’

What are some of the changes, and how will they affect our life, business, and the profession of coaching.

A brief list of some topics that fit this ‘changing-hyper-fast’ criteria include: information technology (computers, etc.), medical and health – including extended life spans, virtual and augmented reality, robotics, power creation, climate management, education, miniaturization, and developing ‘human’ intelligence.

This talk will take a look at some of these areas (depending on available time), talk about the harbingers of an awesome future, and touch on what these shifts mean for us as coaches to the people immersed in this world and reacting to these changes.
