This session introduces coaches to the role of breathing in shaping a client’s physiological state and how that directly impacts clarity, emotional regulation, and decision-making. By understanding how breath influences the nervous system, coaches can expand their ability to support clients in accessing insight, maintaining presence, and navigating challenges more effectively. The first 30 minutes will explore how breathing patterns reflect internal state, how to recognize shifts in real time, and how changes in physiology can enhance a client’s capacity for growth and action.
The second half of the session is experiential, guiding participants through practical breathing and mindfulness exercises designed to create measurable shifts in state. Coaches will leave with a clear understanding of when and how to integrate these tools into their sessions to support presence, resilience, and deeper client work, while staying fully aligned with their existing coaching style.
Kevin Connelly is an author, speaker, and the founder of Reconnect, an organization focused on helping coaches and professionals use physiology-based tools to improve regulation, resilience, and performance. He has trained over 100 instructors across more than 15 countries and led more than 6,000 participants through breath-based workshops and experiences. His work centers on how breathing patterns influence physiological and emotional states, and how targeted interventions can be applied in real time.
Drawing from both research and applied experience, Kevin teaches coaches how to integrate practical, evidence-informed breathing techniques into their sessions to support clarity, emotional control, and effective decision-making. His approach combines modern respiratory science with a clear, repeatable system that can be used immediately with clients.
