Presenter:  Michele Norris, PCC

Program Description:

Communication is the key to successful relationships.  Successful relationships produce connection.  Connection is the universal life force needed by humans. When conversation, relationships and connection intersect, a heart coherence is created that is the lifeblood of coaching.  Where we make the invisible visible for our clients.

Please join Michele Norris for a conversation about embodying the concept of connection into our coaching relationships. Michele is a PCC coach who is a Certified Dare to Lead Facilitator (based on the work of Dr. Brené Brown) and a Certified Conversational Intelligence® Coach (based on the work of Judith Glaser). Combining wisdom from these incredible programs, Michele will bring awareness to several perspectives that will resonate for our coaching presence.

During this time of physical distancing, stress is more apparent since “isolation” (in its varied forms) has likely elevated our emotional state. There is a direct relationship between our ability to connect and our emotional state of mind.  We literally do not have the capability of hearing, seeing, understanding and valuing other people when we have been “triggered”.

In this interactive webinar we will discuss:

  • Neuroscience of conversations
  • Neuroscience of stress conditions
  • The dangers of binary thinking
  • The universal human need for connection
  • The lenses through which we see the world
  • How to re-frame, refocus and redirect those lenses for connection
  • How trust builds connection

About Our Speaker:

As Founder of Navigen Leadership, LLC, Michele Norris’ mission is helping her clients attract, retain, and empower the workforce of the future by developing its leaders. Michele is a navigational facilitator who specializes in executive and leadership coaching, corporate culture, generational education, and strategic leadership.

After spending 30 years in sales leadership working for companies such as Xerox, ADP, and Boise Cascade/OfficeMax, Michele founded Navigen Leadership in 2009. Michele became a credentialed ICF coach (PCC) through the University of Miami’s program. She joined ICF-CF in 2011 and has served on the Leadership Team since 2017 and currently the chapter President.

As an Executive and Leadership coach, it is Michele’s belief that work has changed and leaders hold the key to employee engagement and fulfillment. With 7 out of 10 employees not engaged at work (Gallup 2017), Michele’s most exciting coaching engagements are those where she witnesses leaders unlocking the brilliance they possess right under their surface. We all know the leader with whom we want to work. Through coaching, leaders can hold up the mirror and realize how they can be that leader for those whose lives are entrusted to them.

Michele spends her free time with Randy, her husband of 41 years, and her two Springer Spaniels, Auggie and Brucie. Whenever they can get away, they visit their son Alex and his family in Asheville, N.C
