Coaching, Leadership, and Creating a Civil and Respectful Workplace

April 27 (Orlando)

** Lunch will be catered by Toojay's.

Speaker: Robert Smither, Ph.D.

What happened to civility in our workplace? Over the past 20 years, leaders and workers have reported a decline in polite and respectful behavior and an increase in rude, threatening, and bullying behavior. Uncivil behavior can be dangerous, unproductive, and expensive. Uncivil behavior also creates lower employe engagement, turnover, and conflict. Dr. Robert Smither will discuss the current environment, identifying potential workplace bullies, and how coaches can contribute to creating a workplace that promotes the values of trust and respect.

Please join us to learn how to define uncivil behavior and identify its dangers. You will also learn how to identify potentially uncivil employees, and what to do to change attitudes and rebuild commitment and what is needed to create a culture of trust and respect.
