Effective and Efficient Listening Skills for Coaching

Presented by James Arnott

Program Overview:

Listening is the most frequently used communication behavior and often the least effectively and efficiently practiced.  You have not communicated until you have been understood. So, how can we expand our repertoire of listening skills so that we can quickly understand what our clients are really saying? There are five types of listening types that play different roles in the coaching process.  This session will survey the five listening types, apply them to coaching challenges, and provide participants with an opportunity to identify and use better listening skills.

In this experiential program you will learn how to:

A)     Develop effective and efficient listening techniques and skills for coaching

B)     Apply feedback methods to improve listening while coaching

C)     Adjust to the needs and demands of the types of listening contexts used in coaching
