The Core of Coaching: Exploring the Deeper Competencies
As coaches, we all know the importance of being fully present with the client, listening beyond words and, of course, asking the right question at the right time.
Great coaching requires all of this, but even more. Join us for an interactive session where you will take a deep dive into four core coaching competencies that will transform you from a good coach into a masterful one. You’ll participate in 4 distinct core competency discussions, led by our PCC-level coaches.
Moderated by Lillian LeBlanc with co-facilitators:
Laura Scott, PCC
Kari Saddler, PCC
Cheryl Breining, PCC
Jim Arnott, PCC
Sindy Cassidy, PCC
During this program we will explore:
a) Establishing the Coaching Agreement: Learn why “What do you want to talk about?” could be the worst way to start a coaching conversation.
b) Establishing Trust and Intimacy with the Client: Learn what “Under-standing” is and why it’s even more important than presence.
c) Direct Communication: Learn how to combine listening, questioning and observation into actionable information for your client.
d) Managing Progress and Accountability: Learn how to ensure that your clients not only create success, but sustain it for the long term
Take Aways from this program:
a) Understand the ICF Core Competency model and how it applies to every form of coaching
b) Explore the relationship between the ICF Core Competencies and the process/structure of the coaching conversation
c) Learn why true coaching requires more than just great listening and powerful questioning
d)Discover how to take your coaching from helpful to transformational.
