Vision

To cultivate a thriving and inclusive coaching community that elevates individuals, organizations, and communities throughout Central Florida through excellence in professional coaching, connection, and belonging.

Mission

ICF Central Florida advances the coaching profession through education, professional development, ethical practice, and community engagement.

VALUES

Our values guide how we show up as individuals, as leaders, as coaches and as a community. They guide decisions, behaviors, and accountability across all chapter experiences.

Belonging & Participation

We create spaces where all are welcomed, able to bring their full selves, and participate with dignity, access, and mutual respect.

Deep Listening & Presence

We listen beyond words, seek understanding before response, and practice respectful, present dialogue that honors both voice and silence.

Psychological Safety

We foster environments where individuals feel safe to speak, share, and participate authentically.

Curiosity & Cultural Humility

We examine our assumptions, ask thoughtful questions, and remain open to learning across differences.

Courage and Growth

We encourage individuals to speak from lived experience while maintaining clear boundaries against dehumanizing or exclusionary language.

Accountability & Integrity

We take responsibility for our impact, invite feedback, and build trust through transparency, responsiveness, and follow-through.

Equity in Accessibility

We consider accessibility and barriers in how we plan, communicate, and host events.

DEIB
(Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging)

Shaping a Coaching Community Where Belonging Is Lived

At ICF Central Florida, we believe coaching has the power to create meaningful transformation within individuals, organizations, and communities. We are committed to cultivating a coaching community where individuals feel welcomed, respected, valued, and empowered to participate fully.

We believe diverse perspectives, lived experiences, identities, and voices strengthen our profession and the communities we serve. We strive to foster chapter spaces where individuals feel seen, heard, supported, and able to contribute authentically and meaningfully.

When people feel seen, heard, valued, and respected, belonging becomes possible.

Our Commitment

Our commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) is reflected throughout every part of our chapter—in our vision, mission, values, governance, communication, and the ways we design programs, develop leadership opportunities, build partnerships, and engage with the broader communities we serve.

We aim to create accessible and inclusive experiences that consider barriers to participation and encourage broad engagement across our chapter community.

We approach this work with curiosity, humility, accountability, and continuous learning. We recognize that fostering belonging is an ongoing practice that requires reflection, dialogue, responsiveness, and care.

As an ICF chapter, we are guided by the ICF Code of Ethics and committed to supporting a professional culture grounded in dignity, respect, ethical practice, human connection, and constructive dialogue.

Our DEIB Framework

  • Education & Curiosity: Creating opportunities for learning, self-reflection, cultural awareness, and continuous growth.
  • Inclusion & Expression: Fostering spaces where diverse perspectives, experiences, and voices are welcomed, respected, and encouraged.
  • Access & Opportunity: Promoting equitable pathways for participation, leadership, development, and engagement across our chapter community.
  • Community & Connection: Building meaningful relationships, collaboration, and a sense of shared humanity through coaching and community.
  • Belonging: At the center of our work is belonging—the experience of feeling seen, heard, valued, respected, and connected. Belonging is not assumed; it is intentionally cultivated through our actions, relationships, and commitment to one another.

Belonging Policy

We are committed to fostering a community rooted in dignity, equity, and belonging. Discrimination, exclusion, or harassment will not be tolerated in chapter spaces. This applies to chapter activities, communications, programs, leadership opportunities, and selection processes.

We strive to ensure equitable access and participation for all, including across race, ethnicity, nationality, culture, language, religion or spiritual belief, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, socioeconomic background, and other characteristics protected by applicable law.

Violations may result in removal from events, leadership roles, or chapter participation, in alignment with ICF standards and chapter governance.

Get Involved

Belonging is not built alone, it is co-created.

We invite our members to contribute their voice, participate in chapter initiatives, engage in meaningful dialogue, and help us create a coaching community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Together, we can cultivate a culture where diversity is welcomed, inclusion is practiced, equity is pursued, and belonging is experienced.
